Medalist Capital continues to grow! We are excited to announce two new hires in our Charleston office - Drew Ortiz and Marshall Overton.

Drew Ortiz, Analyst  |  Charleston

Mr. Ortiz joined Medalist Capital as an Analyst in 2023. Prior to joining the Medalist team, Drew was an Investment Sales Broker with Sands Investment Group, focusing on single tenant net lease properties. Prior to that role, he was a Financial Advisor with UBS Financial.   Drew earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. Before that, Drew was a student athlete and member of the men’s lacrosse team at High Point University.

Marshall Overton, VP of Investment Sales  |  Charleston

Mr. Overton joined Medalist Capital in 2023 bringing seven years of investment sales experience to the team. He previously worked as a broker with Adams Property Group in Charleston, where he focused on in-house acquisitions and third-party sales, primarily in the self-storage and retail sectors. He specializes in assisting clients with the acquisition and disposition of investment properties.   Marshall earned a bachelor’s degree in both finance and management from the University of South Carolina. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, golf, surfing, fishing, and all things outdoors with his Labrador retriever, Wally.
