Mr. Lankford brings more than 35 years of corporate finance, business development and management experience to Medalist Capital. Prior to joining Medalist in 2015, he was an independent consultant, and before that, he was COO for Pavilion Development Company. Previously, Mr. Lankford spent more than 20 years in the financial services industry, where he was head of consumer industries for Ernst and Young Corporate Finance LLP, and priorly held several senior-level management positions at Bank of America and Bank of America Securities, where he started his career.

Mr. Lankford was born in Washington, D.C., and earned a Bachelor of Science from Clemson University and earned a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of Finance.

Mr. Lankford has a passion for giving back as evidenced by positions as a former board member and vice chairman of The First Tee of Charlotte, president of the Tiger Golf Gathering Foundation and former member of the executive advisory board of the College of Business at Clemson University. He is a past member of the US Airways Consumer Advisory Board, the Charlotte Regional Sports Commission, the Dowd YMCA, and the Charlotte Convention and Visitors Bureau, where he served as chairman.
